The program is designed to be a serious training aid for model fixed wing and helicopter pilots of all levels of competence. To ensure a high degree of realism the program uses detailed sets of complex aerodynamic equations to calculate the motion of the aeroplane or helicopter in real time. To make use of this precision a three Dimensional Graphics package delivers geometrically accurate 256 colour graphics at resolutions up to 1024 x 768, (depending on SVGA graphics card)

The simulator allows all the important properties of any conventional single-engined tractor monoplane or single rotor helicopter to be set in real units by the user to accurately simulate the performance of a given model. An unlimited number of models/set-ups can be saved, and several standard models are supplied. This feature also allows beginner and expert to investigate the effects that dimensional and trim changes make to the way a real model performs.

COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS:

• Fully VESA compatible (Ver. 1.02) SVGA graphics card with 1MB VRAM
• Parallel (LPT/Printer) port or PCMCIA-to-LPT adapter (USB-to-LPT adapters do not support all the necessary features)
• An operating system which will support DOS applications. PLEASE NOTE that Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows NT are not usually suitable.
• Windows XP users only: you will need a floppy disk drive (see the tech support page for full details)

The simulator can be controlled by any JR, Sanwa, Futaba, Multiplex, Graupner or HiTec transmitter with a DSC (Buddy Box) output and PPM mode (FM). The CSM interface is plugged into the parallel (printer) port of your computer, and a lead (specific to your make of transmitter) connects the transmitter and interface. The custom interface allows facilities such as trims, mixers, rate switches, Idle ups, throttle holds, etc,etc of your transmitter to be used in the same way as a real model. Set the 'linkages' on the simulated model to match your real aircraft and you can fly your simulated model with the same control surface throws, pitch and throttle curves, gyro gain, rates ATS, mixer setting etc. that you use for real. Because the transmitter communicates to the simulator via its DSC, (Direct Servo Connector), and does not need to transmit there is no danger of interference with other R/C users and of course battery life is prolonged.

Just some of the Heli Features:

• All model data can be entered in real understandable units for weight, rotor diameter, boom length fuel tank capacity etc.
• Accurate rotor head modeling, so you can try the effects of lighter paddles, longer flybar, longer / heavier blades etc, quickly and safely before you try on your real model.
• Full tail rotor modeling, speed, diameter chord, throw etc.
• Accurate simulation of the CSM Heading Hold Gyro, with all the parameters of the ICG360 available. (A great learning tool for getting a better understanding of modern gyro technology).
• Training aids, you can freeze either just the models height or position or both together to make that initial training that much easier, (this is also a great feature for learning 'nose in' without the model disappearing off into the distance before your co-ordination gets going.

• Aircraft shape accurately morphs to the dimensions entered.
• Weight and balance,  the overall aircraft weight, centre of gravity, yaw, pitch and roll inertia can all be fully adjusted.
• Control surfaces, aileron, elevator, rudder and flaps are all fully adjustable for span, chord and throw limits.
• Control surface check, allows you to actually visually check the throws and direction of all control surfaces.
• Fuel tank capacity can be increased up to 1 litre (37 fluid oz.) or as small as you like so you can run out of fuel just like a real model.
